In the FIR lodged at Sansad Marg police station in Delhi, sections of intimidation as well as group crime have been imposed on Rahul Gandhi.
Crime branch can interrogate Rahul Gandhi
Meanwhile, Delhi Police has handed over the investigation to the Crime Branch. Besides, Lok Sabha Speaker has also been informed about the FIR registered against Rahul Gandhi. The Crime Branch will now talk to the Lok Sabha Secretariat for CCTV footage. After this the investigation will be taken forward. Crime branch can interrogate Rahul Gandhi in this matter.
Case registered under these sections
Despite BJP’s complaint, a case has not been registered against Rahul Gandhi under the section alleging attempt to murder, but Delhi Police has booked him under section 115 of BNS i.e. voluntarily causing hurt, section 117 i.e. voluntarily causing grievous hurt, section 125 i.e. causing hurt to others. A case has been registered under Section 131 i.e. use of criminal force, Section 351 i.e. criminal intimidation and Section 3(5) for endangering life or personal safety. Rahul Gandhi can be called for questioning in this matter.
Congress also complained to the police
Congress has also lodged a complaint against BJP MPs in the Parliament police station in connection with the scuffle in Parliament. In its complaint, Congress has accused BJP MPs of deliberately blocking the way and pushing. Congress has complained that Mallikarjun Kharge was deliberately pushed down. Due to this, both his knees got injured. SC/ST Act should also be imposed regarding the misbehavior with Kharge.
Congress will protest across the country today
At the same time, Congress will protest across the country today against the FIR lodged against Rahul Gandhi and Amit Shah’s statement on Ambedkar. BJP will also protest in the Parliament House complex today.
