New Delhi. A day after the violence that broke out over the survey of Jama Masjid in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, a case has been registered against Samajwadi Party MP Zia ur Rehman Burke and Suhail Iqbal, son of MLA Nawab Iqbal. Both of them are accused of conspiring to create unrest and inciting people to violence. Four people have died in the violence on Sunday while more than 30 people are injured. Currently 25 people have been arrested. The rioters are being identified with the help of CCTV footage. Whoever is named and other accused will be arrested soon. Internet will remain closed in the district on Tuesday also.
Sambhal SP Krishna Kumar Bishnoi said that sub-inspector Deepak Rathi, who was injured in yesterday’s violence, has filed a case against 800 people in which Zia ur Rehman Burke and Sohail Iqbal have been named. These people had instigated the crowd and turned it into a riot. Burke had earlier also been given notice of 168 BNSS by the Kotwali police in the inflammatory speech case. He was warned during that inflammatory speech but even after this he instigated people in the name of Hijafat of Jama Masjid and due to this violence broke out.

15 police personnel and 4 officers have been injured in this violence. SDM Ramesh Babu has fractured his leg and has also filed a case against 800 people. Whereas CO Sambhal, who was shot in the leg, has also lodged an FIR against about 700 to 800 unknown people. SP told that my PRO has also been shot in the leg and a case has been filed against 150 people.
