Fire in a chemical factory in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, four people injured, there was a stir due to smoke in the houses of the area

A fierce fire broke out early Saturday in the first street of Pellakuru Colony in Kovur in Nellore district. Officials said the fire was in a scrap factory. Police said four people were injured in a chemical factory in Chandrapadia of Vinjamur Mandal in Nellore district on Wednesday morning.The incident occurred in the VNAI chemical factory when methanol was being filled in the reactor and the pressure suddenly increased.The four injured employees have been identified as SD Hafeez, B Ravi Kumar, N Rajinikanth and S. Bhaskar. He has been admitted to a private hospital in Nellore for treatment.

The fire spread rapidly due to the presence of iron scrap, waste material and plastic at the scene. The surrounding area was filled with dense smoke, causing anxiety among the residents.

Police and firefighters have reached the spot and are engaged in an attempt to control the fire. Kovuru sub-inspector Ranganath Gaur confirmed that the officials were informed about the incident in the morning and immediately took action.He said that firefighters are actively working to control the fire, and the cause of the fire is still being investigated.
