According to the IMD, the temperature in India is expected to be higher than normal from April to June. Apart from this, more days can run in central and eastern India and northwest plains. Apart from this, the minimum temperature in most areas is also likely to be higher than normal.
What did IMD tell?
IMD chief Mrityunjay Mahapatra has informed that in addition to parts of western and eastern India from April to June, the maximum temperature in most parts of India will be higher than normal. Temperatures are likely to be normal in some regions of western and eastern India. Along with this, the minimum temperature in most areas can also be higher than normal.

IMD chief Mrityunjay Mahapatra said- “From April to June, most parts of North and East India, Central India and North-West India’s plains are likely to run two to four days more than normal.” Let us know that in India, it usually runs for four to seven days from April to June. According to the IMD, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka and Northern parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are expected to run more than normal days. Some states including eastern Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Odisha are expected to run 10 to 11 days during this period.

According to Mahapatra, the minimum temperature in most parts of the country will be higher than normal. However, the temperature at some places in the north-west and northeast may be normal or slightly lower than normal. According to IMD, there was a scorching heat in India last year. There were 41,789 suspicious cases of heat stroke during the summer in different parts of the country. During this time 143 people died of heat stroke and hot weather related diseases. According to experts, there is a lack of better arrangements to collect data, due to which the number of deaths related to heat will have been recorded. Experts have also said that due to the high number of heat days, electricity demands can increase by 9 to 10 percent during the summer season.
How long will it rain?
According to the IMD, there is a possibility of normal rainfall in India from the month of April. This is 88 to 112 percent of the long -term average of 39.2 millimeters. Many areas of north-west, northeast, west-central and peninsular India are likely to receive more than normal and normal rainfall. The IMD has also warned that there may be landslides in Kerala and parts of Karnataka in the Western Ghats and floods in the northeastern states in April. (input language)
