Global statistics of monkeypox
According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), monkeypox was declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) in July 2022, which ended in May 2023. The WHO reported that since 2022, 99,176 cases of monkeypox have been reported from 116 countries and 208 people have died.
