First vision: … so that faith remains

First vision: ... so that faith remains

The remaining three pillars of democracy on the judiciary scares more people than the legislature, executive, independent journalism, because there is the same trouble for some kind of attack on expression and freedom of rights and freedom of rights.

The structure of strong democracy rests on four major pillars – legislature, executive, judiciary and independent media. The entire structure can collapse due to the crack in any one. In order to properly implement democracy, it is necessary that the government elected by the public allow the judiciary and the press to function independently. Democracy cannot be considered successful in the country where the rulers do not allow this to happen. India is in select countries where the roots of democracy have become deep and stronger since independence. Except for the nineteen months exception of the Emergency, India established an ideal in the entire world in implementing the fundamental principles of democracy. Despite all the variations, the democracy has threaded the country in the formula of unity in diversity.

Although the pillars of democracy cannot be underestimated than each other, but the role of the judiciary has special significance. For the smooth operation of a country, it is necessary that the judicial system there should be improved, so that the common people there can get justice according to the Constitution and the law. Due to the correct of the judicial system, the possibility of arbitrary by the legislature and the executive also decreases.

The fair role of the judiciary in India has always been commendable. This is the reason that its credibility among the general public has remained since independence. It should not be an exaggeration to say that in comparison, the credibility of the remaining three pillars of democracy has decreased considerably in the last decades, especially in cases of corruption. Countless cases of corruption against public representatives and government servants elected by the public have greatly tarnished the reputation of the legislature and the executive. Similarly, the press called the fourth pillar of democracy has also not been untouched by such allegations. It has not known how many examples of ignoring the ideal principles of democracy. Therefore, the judiciary has been the last ray of hope for the common people, which has often become a crisis to save the established values of democracy. Even today, the common and special people of the country do not get tired of expressing their intact faith in the judiciary.

Therefore, whenever any kind of questions arise on the judiciary, it is going to put the common people in a can. Recently, a large amount of burnt cash was recovered from the government housing complex of Yashwant Verma, a senior judge of the Delhi High Court. The judge denied all the allegations and termed the incident as a conspiracy, but the Supreme Court collegium has recommended him to transfer him to his original Allahabad High Court. A three -member inquiry committee has also been constituted for the ‘in House’ investigation of the case. During this time Justice Verma will be kept away from all judicial work.

However, the decision to send him back to Allahabad High Court was opposed by the Bar Association there and demanded to be removed by impeachment against him. Advocates Association says that the incident in Justice Verma’s residence has no connection with his judicial work, so legal action should be taken against him. He also says that all the activities of the judges should be beyond the scope of suspicion.

There is no doubt that an old proverb in English, like the ‘Caesars Wife Must by Above Susment’, the activities of all the dominance of the society should not come under suspicion, otherwise they will lose public confidence. In the last few years, corruption cases have been reported against some judges of the Supreme Court and the High Court, but till date no one has been removed from the post under the process of impeachment in Parliament. There is a arrangement of “in house” investigation in the courts against the judges. A committee has also been formed to investigate the incident of Justice Verma’s residence, which will decide whether a case is made against him or not.

If such a case comes against a big leader or bureaucrat, people may have accepted it as common, but allegations of any kind of corruption against a judge make him uncomfortable. The judges are generally considered a symbol of honesty. This shows that the unwavering faith of the people in the Indian judicial system still remains intact. This belief of the public should always be maintained among the judicial system and judges of the country. Generally, the people who have been disappointed with the legislature, executive and media still consider the judiciary to be the lifeline of democracy. In the judicial system of the country, the faith of the people should remain in the future as well, so the judiciary will have to take all possible steps.
