Five people were killed in an ambulance in a pickup collision on the Purvanchal Expressway in Amethi district in the early hours of Sunday. Police gave this information.
Police said the incident occurred on the Purvanchal Expressway in Shukul Bazar police station area when an ambulance carrying the dead body from Haryana was hit by a pickup vehicle.
Police in -charge actress Kumar said that five people aboard the ambulance were killed and one person was seriously injured in the accident, who has been admitted to the district hospital in Gauriganj.
He said that the process of sending the dead bodies for postmortem has been started.
The station in -charge said that the dead have not been identified yet and efforts are being made to get information from the injured person.
