India has increased flights rights to go to Kuwait. Earlier, the number of weekly seats between India and Kuwait was 12 thousand but now it has been increased by 50 percent. With these increase, now the airlines of both countries will be able to use 18 thousand seats every week.
The agreement between the two countries was signed by India’s Aviation Secretary Sameer Kumar Sinha and Kuwait DGCA President Sheikh Humud Al-Mubarak.
It is worth noting that this increase has happened at a time when the airline of India and Kuwait had made full use of its sanctioned seats long ago. Let us tell you that Air India Express, Akasa, IndiGo, Jazeera Airways and Kuwait Airways operate about 40 flights per day between the two countries. Kuwait Airways is the largest operator with 54 weekly flights, followed by IndiGo with 36 flights.
Kuwait was demanding an increase in bilateral visits like many other areas of the Middle East, especially Dubai, due to the increasing demand of passengers. Within the last one year, India has signed new air services agreements with Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Uzbekistan.
