CCB transferred to Karnataka’s former DGP Om Prakash’s murder

New information has been revealed in the murder case of former Karnataka Director General of Police (DGP) Om Prakash. Bengaluru Police Commissioner Dayanand has ordered the transfer of retired DGP to the Central Crime Branch (CCB). This high-profile murder case will be investigated by CCB from Tuesday i.e. 22 April. In view of the seriousness of the case, the police department has decided to hand over the investigation of the case to the CCB. In this case, the police have arrested the former DGP’s wife Pallavi and her daughter Kriti as the main suspect.

Dead body found in blood in the house

Om Prakash, a 1981 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, was found dead at his residence in Bengaluru on 19 April. His body was found blood -stained on the ground floor of his three -storey house located in HSR layout.

According to police sources, after a sharp debate between Om Prakash and his wife, Pallavi first threw chili powder on his face, causing him to run around due to jealousy, when Pallavi stabbed him with a knife, killing him on the spot.

There was a dispute over land

Sources said that after the incident, Pallavi said a video call to her friend and said, “I have killed the demon.” Police investigation has also revealed that there were frequent quarrels between the couple and the relationship between the two was tense. It is being told that there was a dispute between Om Prakash and Pallavi over a land located in Dandeli, Karnataka, about which Pallavi had also lodged a complaint with the HSR Layout police station a few months ago. At the same time, the investigation also revealed that Pallavi was suffering from mental disorder and had a problem of ‘schizophrenia’. She was also taking her medicine.
