Notice to apologize within 5 days
Haryana State Women Commission has issued a notice to Simranjit Singh Mann, former MP from Sangrur, Punjab, regarding the comment made by him on Kangana Ranaut. Taking suo motu cognizance of the matter, this notice has been issued by Haryana State Women Commission. In the notice, Simranjit Singh Mann has been asked to apologize within 5 days for the objectionable statement made about Kangana Ranaut and to give his clarification before Haryana State Women Commission.

BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has also reacted to the statement of former MP Simranjit Singh Mann. Kangana said that it seems that this country will never stop trivializing rape. Today the senior politician has compared rape to riding a bicycle. Kangana said that it is no wonder that rape and violence against women for entertainment is so deeply rooted in the psyche of this patriarchal nation that it is used casually to tease or irritate. Kangana said that make fun of a woman, even if she is a high profile filmmaker or politician.
