At least four people were killed and 14 people were rescued after a four -storey building collapsed in Mustafabad area of Delhi. Police said that about eight people are still feared trapped in the debris.
It is worth noting that Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of North Eastern District Sandeep Lamba told ANI that the incident took place at 3 am.
He said, “14 people were rescued, but four of them died. It was a four-storey building. The rescue operation is on. 8-10 people are still feared to be stranded.”
According to officials, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Delhi Police teams have reached the spot and the rescue operation is currently underway.
Divisional Fire Officer Rajendra Atwal told ANI that he was reported to fall at around 2:50 am.
He said, “We reached the spot and found that the entire building has collapsed and people are trapped in the rubble … NDRF, Delhi Fire Service is working to save people….”
According to the police, one person was killed and two others were injured when a wall of an under -construction building collapsed near Madhu Vihar police station in Delhi during the dusty storm in the national capital on April 11.
