Dehradun: A case of cheating has come to light with the daughter of former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and former Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank. Two filmmakers from Mumbai, daughter of former CM Ramesh Pokhriyal, were cheated by two Mumbai filmmakers in the name of investing in the production of a film and giving him a prominent role in it. On realizing the fraud with himself, Aarushi Nishank lodged a complaint with the Kotwali police station.

Asked for money for investment in film

In his complaint, Aarushi Nishank said that Varun Pramod Kumar Bagla and Mansi Varun Bagla offered him to give him a major role in one Hindi film. Along with this, he also promised to give a thick share from the income from the film. For this, both of them lured them to invest Rs 5 crore in the production of the film.

Made excuse to complete shooting

The complaint said that by relying on him, he gave Rs 2 crore to the accused through his firm ‘Himshree Films’. Later, he gave more money to the filmmakers. In this way, he gave him a total of four crore rupees. He said that although later the accused informed him that another actress has been replaced in the film and its shooting in India has been completed. On realizing the fraud with him, Aarushi asked the manufacturers to return their money, but he refused to do so and threatened him.

‘Aankon Ki Gustakhiyan’ gave the implication of work in the film

Sub Inspector Manmohan Singh Negi, who is investigating the case, said on Sunday that a case has been registered against the accused on the basis of a complaint lodged in this regard. A case has been filed against both the accused under various sections of money recovery, cheating, fraud, criminal conspiracy and intimidation under the Indian Code of India Code. He informed that the investigation of the case has been started. The film called ‘Aankh Ki Gustakhiyan’ offers Vikrant Masi and Shanaya Kapoor in the lead roles. (Input-PTI)
