Contribution in starting the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra

Actually, Subramanian Swamy has played an important role in opening the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage route. Due to the work of Subramanian Swamy in 1981, Hindu devotees got entry in the popular Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and the pilgrimage route was opened again. This issue was resolved during a meeting with the then Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping. In this meeting, Subramanian Swamy put forward his point and started the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Apart from this, Subramanian Swamy was the Planning Commission and Union Commerce and Law Minister during 1990-91.

Major achievements of Subramanian Swamy

Subramanian Swamy was one of the founding members of the political party that won the elections after the Emergency. Despite being the leader of the opposition, he was made a cabinet minister. Swamy went to the High Court to get the project ‘Ram Setu’ cut and he was successful in it. In 1963, Swamy’s paper “Notes on Fractal Graphical Analysis” was published in Econometrica. Subramanian Swamy was appointed Chairman of the Labor Standards and International Trade Commission by former Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao in 1994. Similarly, he has written a lot about India’s foreign policy. He learned Chinese/Mandarin in just 3 months.
