According to religious traditions, on Wednesday morning, the festival of Maa Ganga Doli reached Gangotri Dham from Bhairav Valley to Gangotri Dham. In Gangotri Dham, the doors of Gangotri temple were opened for devotees at 10.30 am with special puja-rehoshek at Gangotri Dham. The winter migration site led by Shani Dev Maharaj, the doli of mother Yamuna, reached Yamunotri Dham from Kharsali. Religious methods- The doors of Yamunatri Dham were opened at 11.55 am with religious laws. On the occasion of the opening of the kapat, thousands of devotees from abroad visited the unbroken light and earned virtue by bathing in the Ganges and Yamuna.
Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami performed the head and offered special prayers in the temples of Maa Ganga and Yamuna while participating in the Kapatodi inauguration ceremonies of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. Shri Dhami also received blessings from the dollas of the people who reached the two dhams. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that the Chardham Yatra has been duly launched on the holy festival of Akshaya Tritiya. The Chardham of Uttarakhand is the main center of faith for the devotees of the country and abroad and the aspiration to achieve the good fortune of these dhams is in the mind of every devotee. The Chief Minister said that extensive arrangements have been made in the state for safe and well -organized Chardham Yatra. Efforts have been made to provide all the basic facilities keeping in mind the convenience and ease of the devotees. He said that along with providing basic facilities to the devotees in Chardham Yatra, special attention is being paid to traffic management.
The Chief Minister said that according to the tradition of the guests Devo Bhavah, it is our endeavor to take a pleasant experience of the yatra with the brilliance of divine dhams from Devbhoomi Uttarakhand on the Chardham Yatra. The Chief Minister has also appealed to all the people to cooperate for organizing Green and Clean Chardham Yatra.
