The action against Anmol Bishnoi has come at a time when, a few days ago, the Mumbai Police had sent a proposal for the extradition of Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence. Anmol Bishnoi has been accused in some high profile crimes including the Baba Siddiqui murder case.
Anmol Bishnoi has a prize of Rs 10 lakh
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had recently announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for information leading to the arrest of Anmol Bishnoi. Anmol Bishnoi has also been chargesheeted in two NIA cases registered in 2022.
Mumbai Crime Branch had also demanded extradition
Last month, the Crime Branch of Mumbai Police had filed a petition in the special Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) court saying that it wants to initiate the process of extradition of fugitive criminal Anmol Bishnoi.
Salman Khan is also accused in this case
Let us tell you that on April 14, Lawrence and Anmol Bishnoi were made wanted accused in connection with the firing outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartment in Bandra area of Mumbai. A lookout circular was issued in April against Anmol Bishnoi, who took responsibility for the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s house.
Aftab Poonawala’s security increased in Tihar Jail
