New Delhi. Investigation has been started on the Pakistani relations of Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi’s wife Elizabeth. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma ordered an inquiry, accusing Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi’s wife of American -origin, of having a relationship with ISI and Pakistani citizen Ali Tauqir Sheikh. On the other hand, Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi has claimed his wife’s ‘ISI link’ allegations that the BJP is adopting a strategy diverting attention for fear of defeat in the 2026 Assam elections.

Assam DGP Harmeet Singh said that the CID was instructed to register a case yesterday. This morning, CID has registered a case under sections 48, 152, 61, 197 (1) of BNS along with Section 13 (1) of UAPA against Ali Tauqir Sheikh and other unknown and investigation is on. On the other hand, in this case, BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP and national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi says that the way senior Congress leader and opposition Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha Gaurav Gogoi has come out with George Soros’s Foundation, as well as Pak in Pakistan Embassy His meeting with the ambassador is also worrying. Their anti -national agenda has now been cleared by their remarks against the Indian Air Force and Indian paramilitary forces.

At the same time, BJP spokesperson Ajay Alok said, citing an English proverb, he said, anyone who will be suspected of being an ISI agent will be investigated. He questioned that Gaurav Gogoi’s wife Elizabeth Kalbourne used to work in Pakistan with Ali Tauqir Sheikh, who was an ISI agent and handler before her marriage, did Gaurav Gogoi know about this before marriage?
