Gautam Adani, India’s second richest person, received a total remuneration of Rs 10.41 crore in the financial year ended on 31 March 2025. This amount is less than most of his competitors of the industry and his own major authorities.
His total remuneration was 12 percent more in 2024-25 than Rs 9.26 crore earned in 2023-24.
His remuneration for 2024-25 from Group’s leading company Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) includes salary of Rs 2.26 crore and allowances, facilities and other benefits of Rs 28 lakh.
Apart from this, he took Rs 7.87 crore from Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEs). In this, Rs 1.8 crore was received as a salary and Rs 6.07 crore as a commission.
Adani’s salary is lower than the heads of almost all large families owned groups in India. However, the richest Indian Mukesh Ambani has not been taking salary since the spread of Kovid-19 epidemic.
Adi’s remuneration telecom businessman Sunil Bharti Mittal (Rs 32.27 crore in 2023-24), Rajiv Bajaj (Rs 53.75 crore in 2023-24), Pawan Munjal (Rs 109 crore in 2023-24), L&T Chairman SN Subrahmanyan (Rs 76.25 crore in 2024-25) Salil S Parekh (80.62 crore rupees in 2024-25) is much less.
Adani’s salary is less than at least one or two chief executive officers of her group companies. AEL CEO Vinay Prakash received Rs 69.34 crore. Prakash’s remuneration includes a salary of four crore rupees and allowances of Rs 65.34 crore and other incentives.
Similarly, Vineet S Jain, managing director of Adaani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) received Rs 11.23 crore, while the group CFO Jugeshinder Singh earned Rs 10.4 crore in FY 2024-25.
