Ghaziabad. In the case of obscene act with a child in Ghaziabad’s Loni area, UP, the police has arrested Qari Saqib of Madrasa. This madrasa is in Ankur Vihar police station area. The child’s father had complained to the police. The child is 13 years old. Qari has opened a madrasa in the colony itself. Many children study Arabic and Urdu languages in this madrasa. There is also a provision of accommodation and food for the children in this madrasa.
The child’s father has said in the complaint lodged in Ankur Vihar police station that his son was always sad. He asked his son about this. He told while crying that the Qari of the Madrasa makes obscene gestures at him. The child’s father has also told the police that Qari Saqib used to threaten his son that if he informs anyone about the obscene gestures, he will kill him. According to the person, his son used to live in the Madrasa itself. Every night the Qari used to call him to him. After which he used to make obscene gestures at him. The child had become silent due to the obscene gestures and threats. As soon as the complaint was received, the police arrested Qari Saqib and he is being questioned.
Many incidents of obscene acts and rape have come to light in madrasas before. In August this year, a case of rape of a child came to light in a madrasa in Indore. Many more incidents of rape and molestation of children have taken place in madrasas and schools. There are strict laws like POCSO to stop such incidents. Despite this, people with criminal mindset sexually assault children every day. The need to make more stringent laws to stop such incidents has been expressed many times.
