A big change is going to happen in Delhi’s transport system. Ghazipur depot is now fully prepared to operate electric buses. Modern charging systems have been installed here to charge the buses, which will greatly increase the number of electric buses in the capital.
Delhiites will get a gift during Navratri
According to the officials of the Transport Department, 12 meter long electric buses will start operating from Ghazipur depot during Navratri. This will prove to be a big gift for the people of Delhi. Earlier CNG buses used to operate from this depot, but now it has been completely prepared for electric buses.
Mohalla buses will also be operational soon
Mohalla buses will also be operated from this depot to provide better transport services to the colonies in the eastern part of Delhi. The Transport Department has already received 56 Mohalla buses, which will start operating before Diwali. The routes of the buses are yet to be decided, but these buses will make travelling easy even in narrow lanes.
Buses will run on important routes
The buses connected to Ghazipur depot will ply on major routes of Delhi, including Anand Vihar, Keshav Nagar, Mori Gate, Ambedkar Nagar, Mayur Vihar Phase-3, Nizamuddin Railway Station, Mehrauli Terminal, Safdarjung Terminal, Kapashera Border and many other important routes.
