Under this, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced a ‘Mukhyamantri Mahila Employment Scheme’ for women during the cabinet meeting on Friday, under which financial assistance will be given to women for employment. The benefit of this scheme will be given to a woman from all families. An amount of Rs 10,000 will be given to women as the first installment by the Nitish government.

Chief Minister Nitish wrote on X, ‘Our government has approved a new scheme for the employment of women in the cabinet meeting today. The main goal of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to a woman of all families to start employment of their choice. As financial assistance, a woman of all families will be given an amount of Rs 10,000 as the first installment for the employment of her choice.
The Chief Minister said, the process of receiving applications from interested women will be started soon. There will be cooperation of Rural Development Department and Urban Development and Housing Department. He said that from September 2025, money will be started sending money to the bank account of women. Additional assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh will be given as per requirement by assessing 6 months after women starting employment.
