When will Diwali be celebrated?

Diwali is one of the major festivals of Hindu religion. It is celebrated with great enthusiasm throughout the country. This time there is confusion among the people regarding the date of Diwali. Some people are saying that Diwali is on 31st October, while some people are talking about celebrating Diwali on 1st November.

In such a situation, astrologers say that celebrating Diwali on 31st October will be auspicious. Chaturdashi Tithi will remain till 3:31 pm on 31st October. Diwali is always celebrated on Amavasya day. According to astrologer Chirag Daruwala, Amavasya Tithi is starting from 2:40 pm on Thursday, October 31. For this reason Diwali will be celebrated on 31st October. Amavasya Tithi on Diwali festival should be at night, which is not in the evening on November 1, 2024. In such a situation, the festival of Diwali will be celebrated on 31st October.
