"Government ready to change Waqf law, will find solution in winter session", Amit Shah's announcement in winter session

New Delhi. The election atmosphere in Haryana has heated up. Voting will be held in a single phase across Haryana on October 1. All the major political parties have entered the electoral fray with full preparation with their candidates and issues. From farmers’ issues to caste equation and wrestlers’ allegations, every party is giving assurances from its side. Elsewhere, Union Home Minister Amit Shah started his address at the public meeting held in Badshahpur on Sunday with the praise of Jwala Mata. During this he made a strong attack on the opposition. Referring to the Waqf Board, he described it as a long-disputed issue and assured its reform. Amit Shah said, “We are facing a lot of problems due to the Waqf Board law, so we will bring it in the winter session to reform this law and find a solution.”

The issue of Waqf Board has been controversial for a long time. Even before this, the BJP government had introduced a bill in the Lok Sabha, which was to put government control on the Waqf Board and stop encroachment on people’s lands. However, due to the uproar in the House, this bill was sent to the Joint Parliamentary Committee. Now it is likely to be introduced again in the winter session.

Mention of One Rank One Pension

Referring to ‘One Rank One Pension’, Amit Shah said, “People of Haryana, you made Modiji the Prime Minister, and Modiji fulfilled the promise of ‘One Rank One Pension’. The three generations of Congress that were in power for 40-40 years – Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, and Manmohan Singh – Sonia Gandhi did not respect the army. But we have done justice to the army and the soldiers.”

Rahul Gandhi attacked on Agniveer scheme

Taking aim at Rahul Gandhi, Amit Shah said, “Rahul Baba is a lying machine. They say that Agniveer Yojana has been brought so that the government does not give them jobs with pension. But let me make it clear that Agniveer Yojana has been brought only to keep our army young. The mothers and sisters of Haryana need not hesitate in sending their children to the army. The Government of India will worry about their jobs.”

Congress accused of expense slips

Amit Shah also took a dig at Congress’s ‘expense slip’ politics and said, “I saw a video on WhatsApp, in which the Congress candidate was saying that he will give 50-50 jobs to each of his supporters. But brother, how will you give these jobs? Are there any rules and regulations? “Under Congress rule, jobs are always given through expense slips, whereas BJP rule follows transparency and rules.”

Waqf Board controversy and possibility of reform

Regarding the Waqf Board, Amit Shah said, “There is a lot of trouble with the Waqf Board law. We will improve this law by bringing it in the winter session.” Earlier also the BJP government had taken action on this issue by bringing a bill in the Lok Sabha on the Waqf Board. Recently, the Waqf Board had also claimed the land of six temples in Delhi and the land of Govindpur village in Patna, which deepened the dispute.
