Another thing related to the murder of former tennis player Radhika Yadav in Gurugram has come to light. Police said on Friday that all possible aspects are being investigated, including what his mother was doing at the time of the incident.
According to the FIR lodged on the basis of the complaint of the deceased’s uncle Kuldeep Yadav, Radhika’s mother Manju Yadav was present on the first floor of the house at the time of the incident.
The 25 -year -old former former player was shot dead by his father in his two -storey house in Sushant Lok area of Gurugram on Thursday. Later Deepak Yadav (49) confessed to killing his daughter and was arrested.
In the FIR, Kuldeep Yadav said that Deepak, his wife Manju and daughter Radhika lived on the first floor of the house in Sector 57, while he lived on the ground floor with his family.
The FIR states that at around 10.30 am on Thursday, he suddenly heard a loud explosion and reached the first floor.
Uncle said in his statement, “I saw my niece Radhika soaked in the kitchen and found a revolver in the drawing room. My son Piyush Yadav also went to the first floor. We both picked up Radhika and took her to Asia Marringo Hospital in Sector 56, where doctors declared her dead.”
Earlier, the police said that the incident took place at around two in the afternoon when Radhika was cooking in the kitchen on the first floor.
Kuldeep Yadav said that at the time of the incident, only Deepak, his wife and daughter were on the first floor of the house. The uncle of the deceased told the police that his second son Dheeraj was not present there at the time of the incident, who is registered in the FIR.
According to the police, Deepak fired at least 5 bullets, out of which Radhika hit his back and died on the spot. It was reported earlier that her mother was on the ground floor, and she ran upwards after hearing the sound of bullets, and she stated that the sound of the bullets was like a pressure cooker.
The uncle of the former tennis player told the police, “My niece was a very good tennis player and won many trophies. I wonder why he was murdered. My brother has a license .32 bore revolver. She was lying there.”
A police officer said that they are investigating all aspects, including what the mother of the former tennis player was doing at the time of the murder.
According to sources, Deepak Yadav confessed that he fired at Radhika because he was often taunted to live by her earnings. However, the police in an official statement claimed that the tennis academy that Radhika used to run was the reason for a dispute between father and daughter.
Gurugram Police spokesman Sandeep Singh said, “Radhika used to run a tennis academy and her father was not happy with it.”
