The Saudi government has abolished the system of women and male Haj pilgrims to be held in the same room. Men will not be allowed to go to the women Azmin rooms.
Guideline issued by Haj Committee of India
A guideline has been issued by the Haj Committee of India on the Haj 2026, stating that the Saudi Arabia government has abolished the system of staying women and male Haj pilgrims in the same room simultaneously. According to the rules of the Saudi government, the male Azmin will not be allowed to enter the female Azmin rooms.
Giving information, the Secretary of the State Haj Committee, SP Tiwari said that according to the guideline, the Haj pilgrims of a city will be given priority in the same building. The room of husband and wife and close relatives has been said to be kept next to the side so that each other can be helped when needed. He informed that women going to the Mahar category will be held together without. He said that in view of many practical problems from this system, a letter will be sent to the Haj Committee of India. However, the final decision is to be taken by the Saudi Arabia government.
India was given exemption earlier
State Haj Committee Secretary SP Tiwari says that women and male Haj pilgrims of all countries of the world are held in different rooms in Saudi Arabia. Tiwari said that most of the Haj pilgrims going to India are older and less educated. The Saudi government had given only Indian women and male passengers to stay in the same room and kitchen. He said that some people complained that living in a room causes women’s innocence. He said that the exercise to hold women and male Haj pilgrims in different rooms has been going on since last year.
