Harpreet Singh Laliya, a resident of Nagpur and one of the 104 Indians, who was exiled from the US, claimed that he was climbed into the aircraft by applying handcuffs and chains on his feet while bringing back.
Laliya said on Thursday that her dream was to go to Canada but the agent’s mistake shattered her dream. He also told that 50 lakh rupees were drowned from banks and relatives, besides it had to go a very difficult path to reach America and there was fear in mind at every step.
An American military aircraft reached Amritsar on Wednesday with 104 illegal migrants from various states. This was the first group of Indians deported by the administration of US President Donald Trump as part of action against illegal migrants.
33-33 people excluded were from Haryana and Gujarat, 30 from Punjab, three from Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh and two from Chandigarh.
Laliya told reporters, “I went to Canada’s visa. I started my journey from New Delhi on December 5, 2024. The next day there was a flight ahead of Abu Dhabi, but I was not allowed to climb it after which I returned to Delhi and stayed there for eight days. Then I was placed in a flight to Cairo, Egypt, from where I was to go to Montreal in Canada via Spain. ”
Laliya said that after staying in Spain for four days, he was sent to Guatemala, from there, Nicaragua then Honduras and Mexico and then on the US border.
He claimed, “I spent a total of Rs 49.5 lakh, which I had taken from banks as loans and friends and relatives.” I went to Canadian visa and I wanted to work in that country but due to my agent’s mistake I had to suffer this pain.
He told reporters, “During this time there was a lot of difficulties. The mafia caught in Mexico and held hostage for 10 days. Climbed the mountain for four hours there and then walked to the US border for 16 hours. ”
Regarding exile, Lalia said that he and 103 others were taken to a center and then chained in handcuffs and legs and climbed into the American aircraft.
