New Delhi. Expensive fees issues of private schools are often raised. Also, in the name of uniforms, books and other charges, the school also arbitrarily with parents and collects big money. In view of the problems of parents, the Haryana government has issued a guideline for private schools in the state. The Ministry of Education has instructed the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts to implement the government’s advisory in schools so that parents are not exploited in the name of education of children. It has also been said that those who do not follow the rules will be acted.
According to the guideline issued by the Haryana government, private schools have been instructed not to change the school uniform every year. Parents should not be compelled to buy books or uniforms from a particular shop and only the valid books of NCERT or Board should be studied. Parents should not be pressurized to buy expensive books of private publication. Also, students should be allowed to use old books and should be promoted from school for this. There should be a provision of pure drinking water for children in the school. Do not put pressure on children to bring a bottle of water from home.
According to the children’s classroom, the weight of their school bag has also been fixed accordingly, set the time table of the children. The weight of the bag for classes 1 and 2 has been fixed up to 1.5 kg, up to 3 kg for class 3 to 5, 4 kg for class 6-7, 4.5 kg for class 8-9 and 5 kg for tenth. The government has clearly stated that education is a service, not a means of earning profits. Along with this, the government has also asked the officials to conduct surprise inspections in schools.
