After changes in the repo rate by RBI, the seats of fixed deposits are being changed by banks. Recently, a change in interest rates of fixed deposits has been announced by HDFC Bank. According to the information received from the bank’s official website, the new interest rates will be implemented from 19 April 2025.
Bank cut interest rates
According to the bank’s website, the bank has announced a cut of 50 Basis Points (BPS) on select tenure. The bank has announced a change in interest rates of fixed deposits at a tenure of less than 3 crore. The new interest rate will be applicable from April 19. After the interest rate deduction, now general customers are being given the benefit of 3% to 7.10% interest rate and senior citizens from 3.5% to 7.55% interest rate.
Let us tell you that the bank is now giving 7.05% interest rate to customers on the tenure of 15 months to 18 months. At the same time, the tenure of 18 months to 21 months is now getting 7.05% interest rate, which was earlier getting 7.25%. Apart from this, customers are getting 6.70% interest rate on 21 months to 2 years of tenure, which was 7.00% earlier.
