New Delhi. After the violence that took place during the survey of Jama Masjid in the district on Sunday, the police administration has ensured tight security arrangements. In view of the Friday prayers, police forces have been deployed at every nook and corner in the district. Earlier on Thursday, the police conducted a flag march in the area and assured the people of security.
Flag march and security arrangements
The police force, led by Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Shrish Chandra, conducted a flag march in the busy markets. He said that life in Sambhal is gradually returning to normal. The ASP said, “Adequate police force has been deployed in the area. We are fully prepared to deal with any situation.”

Regarding Friday prayers, ASP said that a meeting has been organized with local Muslim religious leaders. An appeal was made to everyone for cooperation in the meeting. He said that the police and administration are taking all possible steps to maintain peace in the area.

Preparation to present survey report in court
The survey report of Jama Masjid is to be presented in the court along with Friday prayers. Hindu side’s lawyer Shri Gopal Sharma said, “The Muslim side has to answer, after which we will respond.” At the same time, Muslim side’s lawyer Shakeel Ahmed Warsi claimed that he has complete evidence to prove his side, which will be presented in the court.
Alert in five districts
Divisional Commissioner of Moradabad Division Anjaneya Kumar Singh said that police force is deployed in all the sensitive areas of Sambhal and surrounding areas. Apart from this, vigilance has been increased in all the five districts of Moradabad division. City Qazi Qari Mohammad Alauddin Ajmali appealed to the people to offer namaz in the mosques of their localities only. He said, “We want peace to be established in Sambhal soon. There is an appeal to the police that no arrest should be made against the law.”

Hearing in Supreme Court today
The Mosque Committee has filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the survey order. The petition demands a stay on the lower court’s decision. The bench of Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna will hear the case on Friday. Calling it an extraordinary case, the Muslim side has appealed to the court to take extraordinary steps.
