Conversation
Earlier, the seventh round of talks between the farmers and the government in Chandigarh were inconclusive. Government committed to welfare of farmers
While addressing the farmers, Shivraj reiterated that the government is committed to their welfare. He reminded how the government has regularly intervened to solve the problems faced by farmers across the country. An official release said that the legal, economic and other aspects of various demands of the farmers were considered in the meeting. It said that on the basis of discussion, the government has decided to consult with other stakeholders including states and central-wide territories, traders, exporters and food processing industry, besides farmers organizations across the country.
