Himachal Government Gave Clarification On Toilet Seat Tax: Himachal Pradesh's Congress government gave clarification regarding toilet seat tax, BJP had surrounded

New Delhi. The Congress government, which was under siege after the media reports of imposition of sewerage tax on the basis of number of toilet seats in houses in Himachal Pradesh, has now given clarification on this. The government has said that no such notification has been issued that sewerage tax will be collected on the basis of the number of toilet seats installed by the building owner. Earlier, raising this issue, BJP had targeted Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu.

It is a matter of shame that during the government at the Center, Congress neither spread awareness about cleanliness nor made any efforts in this direction, now this step of Himachal government will put the country to shame.

On media reports, Jal Shakti Department of Himachal Pradesh government said, “No such notification has been issued by the present government that sewerage connections will be given on the basis of the number of seats installed by the building owner.
