The government has said that no such notification has been issued that sewerage tax will be collected on the basis of the number of toilet seats installed by the building owner. On one hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is establishing cleanliness as a mass movement and on the other hand, the Congress government of Himachal is imposing tax on people for toilets. It is a matter of shame that during the government at the Center, Congress neither spread awareness about cleanliness nor made any efforts in this direction, now this step of Himachal government will put the country to shame.
