Shimla. When Congress contested the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections, it had made many promises. One of these promises of Congress was that if the government is formed in Himachal Pradesh, 1 lakh youth will get jobs every year. Congress could not fulfill this promise and could give permanent jobs to only 4400 people within 22 months of forming the government in Himachal. Now the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh has announced to abolish all the government posts vacant for the last 2 years. BJP has targeted in this matter. Overall, now there are chances of politics heating up again. The reason for this is also that assembly elections are going to be held in Maharashtra and Jharkhand and BJP can corner Congress in both the states by raising the issue of abolition of posts in Himachal.

The media has reported that the Finance Department of the Congress government has issued an order to abolish government posts in Himachal Pradesh. According to the news, Himachal Finance Department Principal Secretary Devesh Kumar issued an order abolishing government posts. The Principal Secretary has said in the order sent to all the departments that the departments are not following the government guidelines. Also, details are not being given to the Finance Department. The Finance Department order states that the Himachal Pradesh government has taken this matter seriously. In such a situation, all the regular and temporary posts which have been vacant for 2 years or more are being abolished. The Principal Secretary of the Finance Department has said in the order that all departments should strictly follow this by removing all such posts from the budget book within a week. BJP has targeted the Sukhu government’s order to abolish government jobs.

After the issue was raised by the BJP, politics now seems to be heating up in the matter of abolition of government posts by the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu Congress government of Himachal Pradesh. Let us tell you that recently the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government had not paid the salaries of the government employees due to lack of funds. Apart from himself, Sukhu had also decided to cut the salaries of many other ministers and senior officers. Earlier too, the opposition BJP has been targeting the Himachal Congress government on the issue of salary payment and not being able to provide jobs. Now Congress is facing attack from BJP even after eliminating jobs.
