Flood -like conditions in Sarwari drain, many vehicles submerged in water
Shimla/Kullu: Himachal Pradesh has caused landslides due to heavy snowfall and rain and many major roads and national highways have been blocked, causing daily life to disrupt in many areas. At around 200 roads have been closed, causing many areas including Kullu, Lahaul and Spiti, Kinore, Chamba and Shimla districts.

The administration has banned the movement of vehicles ahead of Nehru Kund due to fresh snowfall in Solang Nala, Gulaba, Atal Tunnel and Rohtang. Traffic has been disrupted on the Manali-Kiratpur National Highway due to landslides in Banala. Police said that the repair work has not started yet due to the fall of the stone. Many roads in tribal valleys are also closed due to snowfall and widespread rains.

According to the information, temporary car parking was made at the time of Kullu Dussehra by putting debris on the banks of Sarwari drain, which people were continuously using. Trains drowned due to increased water in that parking. Along with this, debris in the drains in Gandhi Nagar and Akhara Bazaar also changed the trend of water, causing water to enter the streets and people’s homes.
Chandigarh -Manali highway closed
The Chandigarh -Manali highway has been closed due to landslides. Similarly, dozens of roadways have been disrupted in Kullu and Mandi districts. Whereas due to heavy snowfall in Lahaul Spiti district, his contact has been cut off from the country.
The National Highway 5 (Hindustan-Tibet Marg) has been closed due to snowfall in Narkanda, while roads connecting the Deha-Chaopal and Dodra-Karon region are also blocked. The Theog-Hatkoti highway is also closed in Kharpathar village, located at an altitude of 8,770 feet.
