The forest is constantly blessing me
Dying
You stick to your chest
Like a mother to her baby
Nilavarna for luck
The same poison, only one blood flows
In my body and my mother’s body.
This is a part of the poem of Odia poet Ramakant Rath. Now Ramakant Rath is not among us. But these lines are expressing the reality after their death as much as they were telling the truth of their lifetime. For poet-deeds, the blessings of the land of Odisha, which are full of forest-mountains, will continue to mix them for eternity.
The Ihleela of the poet Ramakant Rath, who brought modern Odia poetry to the summit by adding new links to the poem ended on 16 March. The 90 -year -old late chariot was also a senior officer of the Indian Administrative Service. He breaths his last in his private residence in Kharvel Nagar, BhubaneswarTook. She was born in Cuttack district of Odisha as son of Mother Parvati Devi and father Loknath Mahapatra. Nana Vishwanath Rath and Nani Durgavati Devi adopted them for upbringing and brought them to Sasan Damodarpur village of Puri district. The child Ramakant used to play in the soil of Damodarpur till his youth. Here, Nana’s title ‘Rath’ was added to his name.
While studying English language at Rovenasha College, the image of the poet was created within this young man. He was recognized by Hare Krishna Mahatab, the famous politician and history of Odisha. The poetic language of this budding poet impressed him so much that he started giving him regular space on the pages of his magazine ‘Jhankar’. Odia Kavita gets a lot of discussion on the gift of Ramakant Rath. As soon as they are involved in those discussions, it is interviewed that by removing all the complications of Odia poetry, Rath ji created such idioms whose newness was new to the readers even then, it is still new today.
Harprasad Das Odia is a serious scholar of literature. Seeing the poems of Ramakant Rath in totality, he see a part of what he has written with Ramakant Rath personality and work title, ‘There is a wonderful combination in his poem – there is some emotional, fantasy, some pain, and self -delayable ridicule. In this way, many level crueltys continue in his poems. The irreversibility of Ramakant’s poetry style gives exemption of such stylistic sports. His discourse in this style does not end with the poem, but he gives a foresight of poetry in the next unborn poem. In fact, Ramakant’s creation karma is like an epic that contains physical, moral and tribal dimensions. ‘
He wrote a lot of poems in Odia language. Kate Dinara, many Kothari, suspected deer, seventh season and Sri Radha are his major poetry works. The Saraswati Samman of 1992 was given to Sriradha’s work Sriradha. The chariot is the first poet whose work was awarded this prestigious honor.
Whenever I used to go, Bhubaneswar did not return home without meeting him. Whenever he met him, he used to return to his gestures. Now we do not have their body among us. There are just the remaining words and the behavior of people who meet every meeting which is rarely seen in Hindi poets.
There is a saying in our world, ‘Karni Dekhih Marni Beria.’ This means that immediately after renouncing the body of man, his society expresses condolences while calculating his actions. After his death, Ashok Vajpayee (Hindi) Subodh Sarkar (Bangla) HS Shivprakash (Kannada) and other Samadrit people, newspapers, modrators etc. including the words in which the tributes paid to their social media account include mentioning their simple simple nature besides their Kavikarma. The famous poet of Odia, Phani Mohanti, created a soft poem by keeping Rath ji’s personality gratitude in the center. This Odia poem has been translated by young poet Ipsita Shadangi. In his words, Rath ji’s memory is again saluted,
‘Silence is shaken in a storm like
Sadly sad poet Ramakant
The world of emotion.
Finance filled with depression, sure future
Like a severe face and butter
Gentle, soft, beautiful, simple heart ‘
Rath will always remain in memories.
