Aadhaar card is necessary for many Indian migrants (NRIs) living in UAE for banking, mobile number registration and various government services. Now CBSE schools have also sought Aadhaar card from their students so that APAAR ID can be made. This ID is associated with the enrollment of the student and helps his education journey from pre-primary to higher education.
CBSE rule:
The Aadhaar card is currently mandatory for students who will appear in the board examination since 2026.
NRI students and adults have the right to apply for the Aadhaar card, if they have a valid Indian passport.
NRI application process for Aadhaar card:
Go to Aadhaar Enrollment Center:
NRI will have to go individually on an Aadhaar Seva Kendra in India.
Online appointment can be booked or walked in.
Submit information and documents:
Necessary information: Name, date of birth, gender, address, email and mobile number (released in India).
Biometric Data: Photo, Fingerprint of all ten fingers, iris scans.
It is necessary to present a valid Indian passport as an identity proof (POI).
Submit NRI Enrollment Form:
Get Acknowledgment Slip:
The slip is given when the process is completed, so that you can track the status of the application.
5–18 year old NRI for children:
Aadhaar enrollment will have to be done in the presence of parents/legal guardians.
Biometric information of children is limited to photos only.
Fingerprint and iris scan are taken after 18 years of age.
Support document:
Passport is the main document.
If the address is to be changed, then other valid address proofs in the user’s name can submit the property bill, property tax receipt etc.
Application status check:
Aadhaar number can be released within 90 days of the application.
Check the situation through Enrollment ID (EID) on UIDAI’s website.
Important notes:
The 182 -day residence rule does not apply to the NRI.

After the Aadhaar card is issued, post will be sent to your address by post.
