Cold will increase further in Delhi

Many states of North India are in the grip of cold. There is snowfall in the mountains. After the recent rains, now cold wave is going on in many parts of North India. Cold wave continues in Delhi, NCR, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, Himachal, Uttarakhand and Punjab and its surrounding areas. A drop in temperature has also been recorded.

The chill will increase further in Delhi

The Meteorological Department said that on New Year i.e. January 1, there will be dense fog in the morning and evening. Cold wave will prevail during the day. These conditions will result in reduced visibility and day temperatures. Due to this, there will be severe cold in the new year. The cold is going to increase even more in Delhi.

Dense fog will cover these states

The Meteorological Department has predicted a cold wave in Haryana and Chandigarh on December 31 (Tuesday). However, it said that the cold wave will spread to some areas of western Uttar Pradesh and northern Madhya Pradesh by January 1. There will be dense fog in these areas of Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab from late Tuesday night till January 1.

This situation will continue till January 2

Apart from these, there will be fog in Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya and other north-eastern states till December 31. Dense fog will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim till January 1. However, similar situation will continue in Himachal Pradesh till January 2.

Slight improvement in Delhi’s air quality

Very low temperature was recorded in Delhi on Monday morning. Safdarjung area recorded a maximum temperature of 15 degrees Celsius, 5 degrees below normal, while Palam recorded 13 degrees Celsius, 7 degrees below the seasonal average. The Meteorological Department said that even in such a situation, there has been a slight improvement in the air quality of Delhi.
