New Delhi. There was a huge uproar in the Rajya Sabha on Monday between the ruling National Democratic Alliance and the Congress. The NDA accused the opposition Congress of destabilizing the country’s government and economy through foreign organizations. The BJP claimed that former Congress President Sonia Gandhi belongs to an organization which receives financial support from American industrialist George Soros Foundation. This organization supports the idea of separation of Kashmir from India. BJP MPs raised loud slogans in the House demanding discussion on the issue, which disrupted the proceedings. The Chairman had to adjourn the House twice and finally the proceedings were adjourned till 3 pm.
Controversy arose over Rajiv Gandhi Trust
Amid the uproar, BJP president JP Nadda accused Congress leaders of nexus with foreign organizations and industrialists like George Soros. Nadda said that organizations like ‘Forum of Democratic Leaders in Asia Pacific’ see Kashmir as a separate entity and its financial support is linked to Rajiv Gandhi Trust.
