Sam Pitroda and Rahul Gandhi
Refuting the allegations made by a BJP leader, Indian Overseas Congress chief Sam Pitroda said on Wednesday that he has no land, house or share in India. BJP leader NR Ramesh has alleged that Sam Pitroda illegally acquired 12.35 acres of government plot of Rs 150 crore in Yalehanka, Bengaluru with the help of five senior government officials, including forest department officials.
BJP leader complained to ED and Karnataka Lokayukta
Ramesh, a former councilor of Brihat Bangalore Metropolitan Municipality (BBMP), has complained to ED and Karnataka Lokayukta. Pitroda said in a statement on the social media platform ‘X’, “Recently in the Indian media, in view of the news on both television and print, I want to say clearly-I have no land, house or share in India.”
‘No bribe and no’ in life ‘
The Congress leader living in the US said, “Also, while working with the Government of India- whether with Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in the 1980s or with Dr. Manmohan Singh from 2004 to 2014- I never took any salary.” Pitroda said, “Apart from this, I clearly want to keep in record that I have not given any lords in my whole life (in 83 years).
