More than 150 cases came up
According to a statement by the Minister’s Office, “There have been cases of leaving more than 150 elders alone in Belgavi Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS), while other medical institutions of the state have seen more than 100 similar cases.”

In the recent review meeting, the director of BIMS raised this issue in front of Medical Education and Skill Development Minister Sharan Prakash Patil. On this, the minister expressed deep concern and said that it should be taken seriously.
