New Delhi. The Director of Education, Delhi Government has issued strict instructions to ban the admission of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in government and private schools. Earlier, Delhi Municipal Corporation had also talked about taking strict action on this issue. In the DoE order, schools have been instructed to strictly verify the documents submitted during admission. Also, if the documents of any student seem suspicious, then this information should be immediately informed to the local police. The order also states that all schools will have to prepare weekly reports and submit them to the concerned authorities.
Instructions to check illegal admission
DoE has also directed schools to check the admissions already underway. If a case of admission of any illegal Bangladeshi migrant comes to light during the investigation, it should be immediately canceled and the police should be informed.

MCD had also issued order
On December 21, MCD had also directed schools to identify illegal immigrants during the admission process. MCD had said that it should be ensured that people who are living in India illegally are not given admission in schools.
Hot issue in election environment
In view of the upcoming assembly elections in Delhi in February, the issue of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants has become the center of discussion among political parties. BJP has accused Aam Aadmi Party of providing facilities to Bangladeshi infiltrators. At the same time, AAP has countered that when the border security is under the central government, then how did the infiltration of these people happen.
Responsibility of schools increased
After these orders of DoE and MCD, the responsibility on the schools of Delhi has increased. Now the school administration will have to ensure that no illegal migrant is given admission and there is no laxity in checking the documents.
