In terms of yoga, 'Millennials' at the forefront, 74 percent people do regular practice: Report

A new study has found that 74 percent of people born between 1981 and 1996 do yoga daily, making them of the leading age groups of regular practice. After this, 70 percent of the people born between 1960 and 1980 do yoga.

The data of studies conducted by ICICI Lombard General Insurance on around 1,000 people in both metropolitan and non-mausoleum areas was released on International Yoga Day, which has revealed this.

The study said, “As stress and excitement are taking the form of a new epidemic, yoga is returning to people’s lives and becoming a daily need.”

Marketing, Corporate Communications and CSR chief Sheena Kapoor at ICICI Lombard said, “Our latest reports show that 74 percent of ‘Millennials’ now do yoga regularly.”

Conclusions also show that yoga has moved beyond a specific practice in India to become part of the mainstream, and 72 percent of the respondents regularly practice it while 18 percent practice it occasionally.
