New Delhi. On June 12, the Air India aircraft became a victim of an Air India accident as soon as he flew from Sardar Vallabhbhai International Airport in Ahmedabad to Gatvik Airport. Since this terrible accident, technical disturbances in the aircraft have been continuously coming out. A question was asked in the Rajya Sabha about this. In response to the question, the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation has stated that in the years 2021 to 2025, how many aircraft have been in cases of technical disturbances so far.
On the question of Congress MP Mukul Wasnik, the Ministry of Civil Aviation has said that a total of 2094 cases of technical disturbances in the aircraft were reported from 2021 to June 2025. The Ministry of Civil Aviation said through DGCA data that 514 cases of technical disturbances were detected by 514 in the year 2021, 528 in 2022, 448 in 2023, 421 in 2024 and 183 cases of technical disturbances in the aircraft by June 2025. The Ministry of Civil Aviation also stated that if the airline does not record technical disturbances in an aircraft, the DGCA recognizes such irregularities during the audit and then necessary action is taken after investigation.
The DGCA rule is that it is necessary to record technical disturbances in any aircraft. If the technical disturbance is of severe type, then it has to be given immediate information. The Ministry of Civil Aviation also informed in the Rajya Sabha that in the year 2021, the number of complaints from the passengers was 4131. The figure was 3783 in 2022, 5513 in 2023, 4016 in 2024 and 3925 in 2025 till June. Most of the complaints were said to delay flight, sudden cancellation, delay in refund, poor treatment of airline staff and damage passengers.
