What to do to avoid fire incidents in summer?
Keep flammable things like petrol, kerosene, dry grass or wood in a safe place and keep them away from the sources of fire. The possibility of short circuit increases in summer. Regularly check for wiring, plugs and electrical equipment. Immediately replace the old or bad wires. Keep fire extinguisher, sand or water arrangements at home or workplace so that small fire can be controlled immediately. Carefully use gas cylinders and stoves in the kitchen. Do not forget to turn off the gas after use and check the leakage. Avoid burning cigarettes or bidis in the open, especially in dried areas, as small sparks can also cause major fire. Fire can spread rapidly in forests or fields in summer. Avoid burning fire there and follow local rules. Tell the family and nearby people about the methods of fire prevention. Make a clearance plan for emergency. Electrical appliances that can be more hot, such as a heater or old fan, do not run unnecessarily. (Input- PTI language)
