Civil Aviation Departments of India and Kuwait have signed a new air service agreement, increasing the number of seats between the two countries from 12,000 to 18,000. That is, now there will be 50% more seats in every direction.
Increase in air services after 2006
The agreement was reached by officials of the Ministry of Civil Aviation of India and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Kuwait. This is the first time since 2006 that air services have been increased so much between India and Kuwait.
Decision keeping in mind the changing needs of passengers
The purpose of this agreement is to increase the demand for air travel between the two countries and cooperate together keeping in mind the changing needs of the passengers. After the agreement, several airlines have applied for new seats-IndiGo has demanded 5,000 seats, Air India Express and Akasa Air have demanded 3,000-3,000 seats and Air India has demanded 1,500 seats.
Chennai, Kochi, Bengaluru and Thiruvananthapuram the highest seats
Under the new system, the operation of flights is expected to start from August. Most seats will be given on the routes of popular cities like Chennai, Kochi, Bangalore and Thiruvananthapuram.
