India expressed displeasure, blamed Canadian officials for security lapse
The Indian government expressed strong displeasure over the attack and questioned Canadian officials as to how such an incident occurred despite prior security requests. The Indian Consulate issued a statement in this regard saying, “Violent activities by anti-India elements were witnessed during the consular camp outside the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton. “Stronger security measures were already requested for this camp.”

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau condemned the incident, saying “Every Canadian has the right to freely practice their faith. “The attack on a Hindu temple in Brampton is unacceptable.” He thanked the police for their quick response, but no accused has been arrested yet in this case.
