New Delhi. Canada’s Justin Trudeau government, which is encouraging Khalistanis, is continuously doing things to spoil relations with India. In the latest case, Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officer Sandeep Singh Sidhu alias Sunny Toronto has been given a clean chit and reinstated to his post. India had accused Sandeep Singh Sidhu alias Sunny Toronto of promoting terrorism and murder of Shaurya Chakra winner Balwinder Singh Sandhu in Punjab. India had also included the name of this Canadian officer in the list of extradited criminals and handed him over to Canada.

Sandeep Singh Sidhu alias Sunny Toronto’s involvement in terrorism and the murder of Balwinder Singh Sandhu was revealed in the investigation by the National Investigation Agency i.e. NIA. NIA claims that Sandeep Singh Sidhu is a member of the banned International Sikh Youth Federation. According to NIA, Sandeep Singh Sidhu alias Sunny Toronto also has relations with Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. After investigation, NIA has alleged that Sandeep Singh Sidhu is the mastermind of the murder of Shaurya Chakra winner Balwinder Singh Sandhu in Tarn Taran district of Punjab in the year 2020.

Canada’s CBC News, quoting Sandeep Singh Sidhu’s lawyers, has informed that their client has been given a clean chit and reinstated to his post. Relations between India and Canada may worsen further if Sandeep Singh Sidhu alias Sunny Toronto is given a clean chit. Relations between India and Canada deteriorated from 2023 when PM Justin Trudeau accused India without any evidence that its agencies had killed Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, Canada. India repeatedly asked Justin Trudeau for evidence of this murder, but Trudeau’s government could not provide the evidence. Recently, Justin Trudeau had admitted before an investigation commission of his country that he had only shared intelligence about the involvement of Indian agencies in Nijjar’s murder and had not provided any evidence.
