In the United Nations Security Council, India has explained the way to establish peace in the Middle East. Along with this, it was also said that in the coming time, more goods will be sent from India to help the Palestinian people. Condemning the terrorist attack on Israel, India said that both the countries should talk together and find a solution to establish peace.

In the open debate on the situation in the Middle East, India talked about establishing peace between the two countries instead of supporting any one country. India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Parvathaneni Harish said, “India is ready to provide further help to the Palestinian people. The scale of our development assistance currently stands at US$120 million (Rs 1009 crore). This includes UN Relief and The work also includes $37 million in assistance provided to the agency.”

Parvathaneni Harish said, “We have also sent the first consignment of 6 tonnes of medicines and medical supplies to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency on October 22 this year. The terrorist attacks in Israel on October 7 deserve our unequivocal condemnation. We reiterate India’s call for immediate release and ceasefire. We support a two-state solution, including the establishment of a sovereign and independent Palestine within mutually agreed borders.”

Emphasis on peaceful and stable Middle East

The Indian representative said “We also urge all members of the international community to join in this effort. India underlines its unwavering confidence in its vision of a peaceful and stable Middle East. As India, the international community has a credible partner that is ready to continue its partnership with all relevant stakeholders towards creating a peaceful and stable Middle East and establishing long-term peace and stability.”
