He has said that if you give one inch land to the bully, then he will take a mile. He said that Chinese External Affairs Minister Wang Yi said in a telephonic talks held on August 6 with the Chief Advisor of the President of Brazilian, “Using Tariff as a weapon to suppress other countries is unfair. This reaction of China came a day after US President Trump’s announcement of 25 per cent of additional tariffs on India. Earlier in February, the controversy over tariffs between China and the US had increased significantly. The US had imposed a tariff on China, after which China also announced a tariff on America. Donald Trump imposed a 245 percent of the tariff on China. However, the US later imposed 30 percent tariff on China which has not yet been implemented. On the other hand, the dragon had talked about strengthening business relations with India amidst tariff warm war from America.
China has expressed his desire to work closely with India. Chinese Ambassador Joo Faihong had said that we are ready to welcome Indian companies and promote India’s exports to China. Just a day earlier, news has also come about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to China. Modi is scheduled to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit to be held in Tianjin, China from 31 August to 1 September 2025.
