Amid the Israeli-Iran war, India is taking several important steps to take out its citizens safely from both countries. However, due to increasing tension with Israel, Iran imposed restrictions in its airspace, causing difficulties in removing its citizens. The good news is that Iran has now relaxed these restrictions.
At present, more than 1000 Indian citizens are stranded in Iran. Three special aircraft have been deployed for their withdrawal, which will soon leave for India.
The first flight of these three special flights will leave for India on Friday night, while the second and third flights are expected to fly on Saturday.
This week, about 110 Indian students were brought back to India under ‘Operation Indus’. Most of these students were from Jammu and Kashmir. These students were first crossed the Armenia border from Iran, then brought to India via Doha (Qatar).
Earlier, on Thursday, the Government of India announced that Indian citizens who are trapped in Israel could return to India through the land border. All necessary preparations have been completed for this.
The Ministry of External Affairs said in its statement, “In view of the recent developments between Israel and Iran, the Government of India has decided that arrangements will be made to remove Indian citizens who want to leave Israel.”
The statement also said, “I will travel from Israel to India, crossing the border through the land and then by air.” This step has been taken because many countries have imposed airspace on Israel after the clashes between Iran and Israel recently.
