Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, while wishing people on the foundation day of Odisha, said that India is proud of Odisha’s history, literature and music.
Modi wrote on the social media forum ‘X’, “Happy Utkal Day! This day really honors the glorious culture of Odisha. India is proud of the history, literature and music of Odisha. ”
Describing the people of Odisha as hardworking, he praised them and said that the Center and Odisha governments have worked on a large scale last year to carry forward the progress of the state. He said that the people of the state have excelled in various fields.
Utkal Day is celebrated every year on April 1. Odisha came into existence in 1936 from the province of Bengal.
