New Delhi. The US International Religious Freedom Commission (USCIRF), in its 2025 report, described the conditions of minorities living in India as worrying. The report said that minorities are being treated badly in India. In the year 2024, attacks on minorities on religious grounds in India have increased. With this, the Commission has recommended India to be placed in a special concern category. Not only this, the demand for banning India’s intelligence agency RAW has also been raised by the Commission. Raw has been suspected of creating a hurry to kill Khalistan supporters. At the same time, India dismissed the US Commission report outright and said that the American International Religious Freedom Commission itself should be considered a matter of concern.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs, while strongly condemning the US Commission report, said that it is a intentional biased agenda. Through this, an attempt has been made to harm the image of India’s vibrant multicultural society. Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that through such efforts, there will be no success in the purpose of spoiling India’s reputation. Jaiswal said, USCIRF has incorrectly introduced some sporadic incidents which shows that it is not a real concern for his religious freedom, but a conspiracy against India.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman said that the population of 140 million people who follow different religions and sects in India reside. However, we have no hope from the USCIRF that he will ever accept it or try to show how the people of different religions, caste, community and civilization in India live together with each other.
